Privacy Policy

How Contractor Pursuit collects, uses, discloses, protects, and retains information connected with its United States website and platform.

Effective September 7, 2026

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the Contractor Pursuit website, platform, subscriptions, communications, and support services. Contractor Pursuit is intended for United States businesses and authorized users who are at least 18 years old. It is not intended for children.

2. Information we collect

We may collect account and contact information; company-profile information such as trades, service areas, licenses, certifications, capabilities, and preferences; team membership, assignments, and administrator actions; opportunities, contacts, estimates, RFQs, quotes, jobs, follow-ups, documents, plans, reports, and operational or financial records entered into the service; uploaded files, communications, and support requests; subscription status and transaction identifiers; device, browser, IP address, login, security, diagnostic, and usage information; essential cookie and local-storage information; information from public and permitted third-party sources; and derived matches, classifications, summaries, and indicators.

Stripe processes payment-card information. Contractor Pursuit does not directly receive or store complete payment-card numbers.

3. How we use information

4. AI-assisted processing

Contractor Pursuit may use carefully selected AI and other technology providers as needed to provide requested functions. Identifiable customer content, uploaded documents, estimates, contacts, and company activity will not be used to train general-purpose AI models unless the customer separately and explicitly agrees.

Verify material information. AI-assisted and automated results may be incomplete or incorrect. Customers remain responsible for reviewing source information and verifying requirements, deadlines, qualifications, pricing, estimates, quotes, RFQs, and business decisions.

5. How we disclose information

We may disclose information within the customer’s workspace to authorized users and administrators; to service providers supporting hosting, databases, authentication, payments, communications, analytics, AI-assisted processing, support, and security; when directed by the customer; to comply with law; to investigate fraud, misuse, or security threats; to professional advisers under appropriate confidentiality obligations; or in a lawful business transfer.

Contractor Pursuit does not sell or rent customer personal information, company information, uploaded materials, contacts, or account activity.

6. Company accounts and administrators

A company administrator may manage the workspace, team accounts, assignments, uploaded content, and activity records. Work created or uploaded within a company account remains under the company’s account control when a user’s employment or authorization ends.

7. Retention, cancellation, restoration, and export

Customers should download information they wish to retain before access ends. When access ends, self-service access and downloading stop.

Contractor Pursuit retains the inactive company account and customer-controlled workspace information for 60 days after access ends. During that period, an authorized company representative may request one complete available account export through info@contractorpursuit.com. Post-cancellation exports are complete available exports rather than individually selected records.

An export may include available current and historical customer-controlled activity and content. It does not include Contractor Pursuit’s proprietary future-opportunity pipeline, research database, or information outside the customer’s entitlement. Resubscription during the 60-day period may restore retained information. Searches and active research do not continue while inactive and may remain unchanged until reactivation and a new search or refresh.

After the retention period, Contractor Pursuit may delete or de-identify inactive content, subject to backups and information retained for billing, tax, fraud prevention, security, disputes, or legal requirements.

8. Cookies and analytics

Contractor Pursuit may use essential cookies and local storage for login, security, preferences, and operation, and privacy-conscious analytics to understand usage and improve the service. Advertising trackers will not be used without separate disclosure and any legally required choice or consent.

9. Communications

Contractor Pursuit may send essential account, billing, security, service, support, and current-subscription communications. Promotional messages will include an appropriate unsubscribe method. Marketing opt-out does not stop essential service communications.

9A. Connected Google email

Connecting a Google account is optional. When you connect Gmail, Contractor Pursuit receives your Google account identifier and email address to identify the connected mailbox. We request the send-only Gmail permission, gmail.send, so you can send RFQs and task reminders from your own email address and receive replies directly.

Contractor Pursuit does not request permission to read, search, modify, or delete messages in your Gmail mailbox. We process the recipients, subject, message content, and attachments you provide for an authorized send and transmit them to Google for delivery.

We securely store authorization tokens on our servers to maintain the connection without collecting your Google password. We also retain connection details and send records, such as recipients, subjects, timestamps, provider identifiers, and acceptance or failure status, to show activity, troubleshoot problems, and prevent duplicate sends. Provider acceptance does not establish that a recipient received or read a message.

Google user data is used only to operate and support these connected-email features. We do not sell it, use it for advertising, or use it to train general-purpose AI models. We share it only as necessary to provide the authorized features, protect security, or comply with law. Our handling of Google user data follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. These restrictions control if another section of this policy permits broader use.

You can disconnect Google through Connected Email settings or revoke access in your Google Account permissions. Disconnecting does not recall messages already sent or automatically delete retained workspace records. Retention and deletion of those records follow Sections 7 and 11. For deletion requests or connection assistance, contact info@contractorpursuit.com.

10. Security

Contractor Pursuit uses administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect information. No storage, transmission, or security method is completely reliable, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed. Users must protect individual credentials and promptly report suspected unauthorized access.

11. Privacy choices and requests

Subject to applicable law and account authority, customers may request access, correction, export, or deletion of customer-controlled information. Contractor Pursuit may verify the requester’s identity and authority. Certain records may be retained for billing, tax, fraud prevention, security, disputes, recordkeeping, or legal compliance.

12. United States service

Contractor Pursuit is initially offered only to businesses and authorized users located in the United States. Information may be processed in the United States and other locations where authorized providers operate, subject to applicable protections.

13. Changes to this policy

Contractor Pursuit may update this policy and will ordinarily provide at least 60 days’ advance notice of material changes, except when faster action is required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or an urgent platform risk.
